Hi! You probably already know this but my name is Drew Mast.

In May of 2013 I graduated from Cardinal High School and started attending Pittsburgh Technical Institute (now known as Pittsburgh Technical College) for Graphic Design late that fall. I then graduated with an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences in July of 2015.

I have always had an eye and interest in art. When I was young I enjoyed sketching and coloring as well as looking at photo-books from professional photographers. At the age of six, I was given my first camera.

In high school I was involved in band, soccer, show choir, musical theater, art, and yearbook. By my senior year I had spent many hours doing page layouts for the yearbook and designing t-shirts for numerous activities. This is what drove me to study graphic design.

Once I started college, my real passion for design and photography bloomed into what they are today. After taking a photography course and posting some of my assignments on Facebook, I was asked to do my first freelance photography job. I then came up with a name and original logo (which since has changed) and decided on d.Mallan Photography. The name is a combination of my name: “D” for Drew, “M” for Mast, and “Allan” for my middle name.

After almost four years of freelance work for both design and photography, I decided it was time to combine my design and photography efforts instead of keeping them separate. In the fall of 2017 I once again made changes to my brand and logo. I added the words 'and design' to my name and logo so people were more aware of my passion not only for photography but also design.

Currently I am actively doing both graphic and set design as well as photography work for local high school thespian troops. I have worked on various productions and have grown to love the theater! Outside of photography and design, I enjoy cooking and baking, playing guitar, and traveling.

Need a program for your show but don’t have a lot of time or cash? I put together this really simple Microsoft Word template with some text boxes that you can use to just plug in the pertinent information, save it as your own document, print, copy, fold, and hand out.

A program should be an easy way to get the important information to the audience (like who’s in the show, who directed it, and where people can find you once they leave). It can be as detailed or as basic as you want

The following link will download the file to your computer (it’s completely safe – just a simple Word document – scan it if you like). Follow the directions and the advice included, and you should be all set:

Is there another format that works better for you? Let me know (just send a quick message), and I’ll try to include it in this post.

If you’d like to see an example of a basic program that I’ve done in the past, contact me and I’ll try to dig one up for you.
