iPod classic
The iPod classic comes with three games — Vortex, iQuiz, and Klondike. You can find even more games on the iTunes Store. It’ll be like carrying a whole arcade in your pocket.
- An iPod click wheel game or iPod game is a video game playable on the various versions of the Apple portable media player, the iPod. The original iPod had the game Brick (originally invented by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak) included as an easter egg hidden feature; later firmware versions added it as a menu option. Later revisions of the iPod added three more games in.
- The last time a new click wheel game appeared in the iTunes Store was February 2009. However, what’s really puzzling is that Apple still promotes the availability of the Click Wheel games on the iPod Classic page on their website (pictured right). These games are compatible with the iPod nano (3rd and 4th generation), iPod classic, and iPod (5th generation) only. They cannot be played on your computer, nor are they compatible with other iPod models including the iPhone and the iPod touch. Please check which iPod model you have.
In order for the cracked games to work you need to be running 1.2.1 firmware. Almost all the instructions online say you need to use ipodwizard but you can just update/restore using the ipsw. Simply hold shift and press on update or restore and it will open up file explorer and you will have to select the ipsw files.
